The Board of Trumbull Township Trustees: Job Posting Summary – Part-time 2025, Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a Part Time Road Department Position dedicated and skilled laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to perform a variety of tasks related to facilities maintenance. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Job Duties and Requirements:  Perform general labor tasks including cleaning, painting, assisting with maintenance projects in public works to include cemetery mowing and road maintenance, utilize township tools and equipment such as township vehicles for digging and mowing and maintaining as needed, assist in road projects and ditching needs, conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report issues, provide excellent customer service while interacting with the general public and residents, ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards your OSHA 10/30 a plus, proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and clients experience in facilities maintenance is preferred, with knowledge of simple maintenance and mechanical background being an advantage, previous experience in residential maintenance, strong ability to be taught new systems and skills from supervision, excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction during projects ability to  maintain focus on tasks while adhering to safety guidelines, valid and clear driver’s license, ability to work part time hours described by Township Trustees.

There will be a mandatory drug test- Marijuana even though legal in the state of Ohio is an automatic rejection here. Also, there will be reference and background checks.

Pay from $18.00  - $26.00 per hour, Benefits OPERS, Medicare, Workers Compensation
Schedule: 8–10-hour shift, day shift / afternoon shift / evenings, afternoon shift (If) needed, evenings (if) needed, extended hours (if) needed, nights (if) needed, No more than (30) hours a week maximum on trustee approval, weekends if needed.
